The highways of India are dotted with Dhabas or eating joints, serving honestly good food to truckers and long distance travelers. Over time they have evolved to be an integral part of India’s modern culinary culture. We have taken the Dhaba Dal from the dusty highways of India, enhanced it with spices and herbs but kept its original rustic flavor intact.
Use of whole garam masala and butter tadka on top, making it a thick spicy soup is usually served with rice or chapattis and naan bread.
Our Dhaba dal is prepared by using black gram split added in roasted garlic and cumin seeds, cooked in spiced butter /oil. All the organic spices and herbs used in dhaba dal are not just for flavor and aroma but they also help in digestion and add nutritional value. Chilies are rich in vitamin C, methi peps up the liver, ginger and peppercorn aids indigestion.
